ST. LOUIS – [BOX SCORE] Missouri Baptist Women's Tennis found out after No. 1 doubles that the former member of the American Midwest Conference, University of Illinois-Springfield, was a tough customer. The Prairie Stars swept singles and took two of three in doubles in an 8-1 win over the Spartans.

Missouri Baptist (5-6) put together its lone win on the day as Thais Castiglioni and Ashley Bonine took to the court against Jane Carter and Sharon Danquah. The Spartan pair grabbed an 8-5 win, but that was the last victory the visitors were able to grasp.

The Spartans lost in straight sets in each singles match as the Prairie Stars were rolling.

Missouri Baptist will be in action back at the friendly confines of Creve Coeur Tennis Club on Tuesday in an AMC/Heart of America Athletic Conference matchup against Lindenwood-Belleville (Ill.). First serve is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
