WOMEN’S TENNIS EASES PAST STEPHENS COLLEGE

ST. LOUIS—[MATCH RESULTS] Missouri Baptist Women's Tennis made it wins on back to back days with an 8-1 rout of Stephens College on Wednesday. The Spartans moved to 7-6 on the season and 3-1 in conference play. 

After a 9-0 victory over LU-Belleville on Tuesday, MBU Head Coach Cole Stevenson sent out the same lineup on Wednesday. The result was another lopsided victory for the Spartans.

Missouri Baptist blew through the singles competition without a threat. Thais Castiglioni led the way at the No. 1 spot with a 6-0, 6-1 victory.

Castiglioni and Ashley Bonine opened the doubles competition with an 8-3 victory. Emily Brown and Dani Jo Stevenson came up just short at No. 2, falling 9-8 (10-3). Cheyenne Anderson and Katie Lahue closed it out for the Spartans with an easy 8-0 shutout at No. 3.

The Spartans will go for three in a row when they face William Woods on Thursday at 3pm.
