ST. LOUIS—[MATCH RESULTS] Missouri Baptist Women's Tennis picked up a 9-0 sweep of Lindenwood-Belleville on Tuesday afternoon at the Creve Coeur Tennis Center. The win moved the Spartans' season record back to .500 at 6-6. 

Thais Castiglioni got MBU started on the right foot with a dominant 6-0, 6-2 victory at the No. 1 position. Ashley Bonine followed suit, dispatching her opponent 6-2, 6-1.

Dani Jo Stevenson ran into some trouble at No. 3, falling 4-6 in the first set. The sophomore responded, however, with a 6-0 shutout in set two and a 10-5 victory in the tiebreak set to claim the point for the Spartans. Emily Brown closed out the single competition for MBU with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at No. 4.

The doubles competition was more of the same for Missouri Baptist. Ashley Bonine and Thais Castiglioni teamed up for an 8-0 thrashing at No. 1 while Emily Brown and Dani Jo Stevenson came out ahead 8-1 at No. 2.

The Spartans are in action next against Williams Woods on Thursday. First serve is schedule for 3pm.
