ST. LOUIS -- The Spartans were looking to get back on track after a loss to Missouri Valley in the previous week, and on April 4th, at the Creve Coeur Tennis Center, they did just that.  

Missouri Baptist defeated Fontbonne in convincing fashion 7-1 Tuesday. The navy and white swept doubles play, taking all three matches (8-3, 8-2, 8-0).

Ashley Bonine and Lindsay Burgess teamed up for a win at No. 1 and Katie Lahue and Rafaela Davide took down Fontbonne's No. 2 team. The duo of Emma Schoch and Elizabeth Siegfried posted a shutout at No. 3 doubles with an 8-0 win. 

The Spartans won all but one singles match. Rafaela Davide won at No. 2 6-1 and Lahue defeated her opponent 8-1 at No. 3. Schoch and Siegfried also won in convincing fashion. 

MBU continues its busy week on Thursday at Illinois-Springfield.
