Box Score LEBANON, Tenn. – Missouri Baptist Women's Tennis was finally back on the court on Wednesday afternoon for its first match since October of 2019. The Spartans came up short against No. 17 Cumberland University (Tenn.) by a final tally of 7-0.
In singles action, sophomore
Faith Griese came the closest to picking up a victory for MBU. Playing in the No. 1 position for the first time, Griese pushed Ana Maria Collazos to a tiebreak in the third set before being edged out 10-8.
Griese partnered with
Maria Brandt in the doubles competition and put a scare into Ksenija Dmitrovic and Joana Bou but the Spartan duo fell 6-4 from the top spot.

The Spartans were scheduled to play Martin Methodist later on Thursday but were washed out by rain. The next match currently on the schedule is a March 30 meeting with Lindenwood University in St. Charles. First serve is scheduled for 11 am.
