RYAN, VOGT NAMED DANCE ALL-AMERICANS IN BACK-TO-BACK YEARS

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Following this weekend's NAIA Competitive Dance National Championships, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced the select group of student-athletes who were named 2022 NAIA Dance All-Americans. Representing Missouri Baptist University as All-Americans on the Honorable Mention list were grad student Kaleigh Ryan and senior Emma Vogt.

Collectively, the Spartan line duo has earned five All-America honors in a three-year period. It marked the second year in a row that Ryan and Vogt were both recognized on the prestigious All-America list.

Ryan is now a three-time NAIA Dance All-American, while Vogt picked up her second straight All-America nod.

To earn the NAIA Dance All-America award, individuals must perform leaps and a triple pirouette with superior technique along with a turn combination and audition combination that consists of four 8-counts of Jazz, Pom, and Hip-Hop Choreography. The auditions are judged on proper technical execution, style, and overall performance impression.

As NAIA All-Americans, Ryan and Vogt will be recognized at the Spartan Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet, which will be held this year during Homecoming Week on the evening of Thursday, October 27.
