ST. LOUIS — On Saturday (Feb. 1), the Missouri Baptist University Dance Team opened their season with their senior day and a first place finish in the 2025 Cheer and Dance Spartan Showcase.
They displayed an electric performance at the competition, scoring 81.1, as compared to the second place team, University of St. Francis, who scored 80.5.
The judges noticed the Spartans' facial expressions most in their performance. They displayed great facials and high energy throughout their routine.
In addition to performing extremely well in the competition, Missouri Baptist celebrated their dance senior day. They honored Emma Brandwein, Kiersten Brown, Emma Crites, Abbey Mortland, and Faith Svanda.
Led by their seniors, Missouri Baptist erupted with screams of joy when they were announced as the first place team.
MBU will compete again on Friday (Feb. 7), at York University for the York University Crown Classic. We
