INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Members from both the men's and women's MBU track and field teams arrived in Indianapolis ready to compete at the Marian University Indoor Invite yesterday morning (Feb. 9).
Freshman Angela Ward finished first in the women's 600 meter run with a time of 1:41.96. This is the first time in her collegiate career that she has come out on top in the women's 600 m.
For the seventh time in the 2024 season, Mayson DeRousse (5.10 m) placed first in the men's pole vault.
Mia Reed (2:58.54) took second place in the women's 1000 meter run, hitting an NAIA 'A' Standard and setting a new personal record (prev. 3:01.54).
Junior Adrienne Rockette also hit a PR of 5:20.32 in the women's mile run, putting her at sixth place out of 19. Her previous record was 5:25.58.
Placing sixth in the men's pole vault while hitting a PR of 4.55 meters is Camden Woolbright.
Woolbright also took third in the men's 60 m hurdles, and graduate student Emily Farchmin finished 5th in the women's 800 meter run.
Their teammates will compete today (Feb 10) at the Illinois Wesleyan University Titan Open in Bloomington, Ill.
