CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa —
Isabella Aimonette claimed the individual title at the Seminole Valley Stampede as the Missouri Baptist University women's team earned a fourth-place finish and the men's team took eighth.
The women finished just two points behind third-place St. Ambrose University (105 points), with Aquinas University (63 points) and Kansas Wesleyan University (70 points) taking the top two spots. The men's team outpaced conference rivals, including William Penn University, Grand View University, Culver-Stockton College, and William Woods University.
Freshman
Isabella Aimonette delivered a breakout performance in the women's 6k race, capturing the individual title with a course record-breaking time of 21:34.0, the fastest of the day and one of three sub-22-minute times.
Senior
Adrienne Rockette followed with a strong 13th-place finish in 23:00.7, while sophomore
Julia Whorton (18th, 23:16.6), freshman
Alyssa Collins (37th, 24:02.5), and senior
Haley Hernandez (38th, 24:05.1) rounded out the scoring. Sophomore
Camrin Watkins (42nd, 24:08.4) and freshman
Allie England (70th, 25:24.5) added depth to the team's effort as well.
In the men's 8k race, senior Nicholas Fehr led the Missouri Baptist men with a 29th-place finish in 25:46.7, pacing a tightly packed squad that earned eighth place out of 23 teams. Sophomore

The Spartans have a week off before taking on the Greenville Classic on Friday, Oct. 17 and the Mikayla Sherrill Fall Classic on Saturday, Oct. 18.
