The Heart of America Athletic Conference named freshman
Isabella Aimonette as the Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the second time this season following her title-winning performance at the Seminole Valley Stampede in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Aimonette produced yet another standout run in her rookie campaign by winning the women's 6k race in a time of 21:34.0 — the fastest of the day and a new course record for the Seminole Cross Country Course. Her effort led Missouri Baptist University to a fourth-place team finish, finishing just two points behind St. Ambrose University (105 points) for third.
The Wentzville, Mo., native now has two Heart weekly honors this fall, adding to the one she earned earlier in the season on
Sept. 15.
Aimonette and the Spartans return to competition Oct. 17–18 for the Greenville Classic and the Mikayla Sherrill Fall Classic.
