The Spartans faltered in the seventh inning against Texas A&M San Antonio, surrendering a four run lead heading into the inning. The Jaguars scored four runs on just three hits and one error, leaving the winning run on base.Â

Missouri Baptist scored a pair of runs in the eighth inning on just one hit, and Brooklynn Fischer and the Spartan defense threw up a zero in run column in the Jaguars half of the inning to secure a 9-7 victory.

The Spartans got on the scoreboard first with an RBI double from Alexi Sanchez, scoring Grace McGinnis, but Texas A&M San Antonio answered with three runs in their half of the third inning, making it 3-1.

On both sides of the game, the Spartans got to work as the Spartans scored six runs on five hits in the fourth and fifth innings and held the Jaguars scoreless until the seventh inning.

The Saints came out swinging against the Spartans in their second matchup of the weekend. No. 1 Our Lady of the Lake hammered three homeruns throughout the contest, accounting for six of their nine runs.
