DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. – Missouri Baptist University men's lacrosse suffered a heartbreaking 9-8 loss to (RV) University of Michigan-Dearborn on Tuesday evening.
With the loss, the Spartans dropped to 0-4 on the season, concluding the Michigan portion of their five-game road stretch and wrapping up non-conference play.
In a back-and-forth contest, MBU held an 8-6 lead at the end of the third period. However, three unanswered goals from the Wolverines in the fourth quarter propelled them to the comeback victory.
Joe Busselman led the Spartans with three goals.
Five additional Spartans scored one goal each: Matthew Lash, Ryan Metcalf, Liam Prindable, Drew Chiodini, and Raymond Lingard.
Michigan-Dearborn outshot Missouri Baptist 39-32, and the Spartans committed 24 turnovers compared to 20 by the Wolverines.
