ST. LOUIS – No. 4 Missouri Baptist University men's volleyball swept Central Christian College and Kansas Wesleyan University to open the Kansas trip on Friday night. With the victories, the Spartans have won three in a row and are now 17-4 overall and 10-2 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

Missouri Baptist took the 3 p.m. game in three sets over Central Christian 25-11, 25-19, 25-12. The team hit .429 with 38 kills on 70 attacks with eight errors.
Junior setter
Kaden Meyer got the call-up from the junior varsity squad and tallied 25 assists in his first career match on the varsity team. He found
AJ Tufuga for a team-high 10 kills and
Isaac Allgeyer and
Johnathan Kreke for seven each. Allgeyer additionally tallied four service aces.
MBU used a 6-0 run at 4-3 and a 6-0 run at 18-10 to push the Tigers to the brink.
Petar Lecic ended the set 25-11 with one of his two kills in the match.
Set two was more closely contested. CCC was within two at 14-12 when
Justus Hensen kicked off a 4-0 run, and he ended the Spartans taking seven of eight points with another kill. MBU rode the momentum to a 25-19 victory and a 2-0 advantage.
In set three, MBU scored eight consecutive points to jump ahead 20-8 and wrapped up the sweep with a 25-12 frame three win.

Marko Jovanovic and
Michael Olson combined for 29 kills to help the Spartans sweep the season series against Kansas Wesleyan University with a 3-0 win on Friday night. The team hit .368 and dominated in nearly every facet of the game.
MBU opened the game with a .379 hitting percentage in a 25-18 win. They went ahead 2-0 on a .440 percentage in set two. They rode three aces to a set three win to earn the sweep and to improve to 10-2 in the HAAC.
Jovanovic had a team-high 15 kills, three service aces, and eight digs.
David Rudic continued his impressive senior year with 38 assists (12.67 A/S). Olson added 14 kills and a trio of assists.
