ST. LOUIS – Fourth-ranked Missouri Baptist University men's volleyball fell in five sets at home on Friday night to No. 7 Mount Mercy University.

Missouri Baptist University and Mount Mercy University traded sets through the first four frames to force a decisive fifth set that the Mustangs took 15-10.
 
MBU hit .357 in the opening frame and won 25-17. They dropped set two by the same score and rebounded with an eight-block third set, winning 25-19.
 
Mustang setter Gustavo Kehl Bauer spread the wealth to all his attackers in the fourth set and helped them to a .265 attack percentage and a 25-19 win to knot the game up at two sets each. In set five, the visitors tallied six blocks out of their 15 points to claim the upset victory over the Spartans.
 
Veljko Culibrk continued his hot streak on defense, tallying double-digit blocks for the third consecutive game with 11.0 on Friday. Michael Olson led the attack with 12 kills and David Rudic had 32 assists.
