ST. LOUIS - Taylor Whitehead won her fourth AMC Pitcher of the Week Award of the season following a week in which she picked up three wins including a perfect game against Harris-Stowe, securing the AMC Regular Season Title for Missouri Baptist.
Whitehead appeared in the circle three times for the Spartans throughout the week, and she only allowed one run. She struck out 20 batters in 17.0 innings of work while hoisting a 0.41 ERA.
She helped lead the Spartans to three wins this week as Missouri Baptist went 6-0, and extended their win streak to 10 straight games.
Whitehead has been tremendous for MBU throughout the season, claiming four AMC Pitcher of the Week awards. She has thrown 128.0 innings, struck out 137 batters, for a 15-2 record, and has posted a 1.91 ERA.
Missouri Baptist has one more doubleheader in the regular season before heading down to Williams Baptist for the AMC Conference Tournament. Whitehead and the Spartans will take on Avila at Spartan Softball Field on Saturday, April 26, at noon.
