The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced Isabella Aimonette to her first career Women's Runner of the Week award for her stellar performance at the Larry Young Invitational on Saturday.
 
The freshman from Wentzville, Mo., ran an 18:54.50 in the 5k event at Gans Creek Cross Country Course, placing 2^nd overall out of 107 individuals. She finished 10 seconds off the pace of Hailey Gerard from Columbia College and led Missouri Baptist University to a team win by three points over CC.
 
Aimonette and the Spartans continue the season on Friday, Sept. 19, at the Bradley Intercollegiate at Detweiller Park in Peoria, Ill.
