ST. LOUIS – Missouri Baptist University women's basketball pulled off a comeback at Park University on Saturday after being down by 13 at halftime, earning a 53-49 win in the final minutes.
MBU started the game on a rough note and only scored 19 at halftime while the Pirates had 32 on the board. The Spartans came back in the second half, winning the third quarter 16-9 and the fourth 18-8, to earn their sixth win in a row.
First Half
- After one quarter, Park led 11-8, outpacing Missouri Baptist with better early shot efficiency.

- Abigail Williams tied the game in the fourth with free throws and followed with a layup, giving MBU the lead with three minutes left to play.
- The Spartans had two players with a double-double. Abigail Williams tallied 13 points and 14 rebounds. Riley Jansen knocked down 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
With this win, the Spartans have clinched their spot in the Heart of America Conference Tournament as they have placed eighth in the conference.
