On Tuesday, March 24, College Sports Communicators released its selections for the 2025-26 All-District Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, and two from Missouri Baptist University made the list.
Merquiche Lewis, junior forward, and
Riley Jansen, senior forward, were recognized among the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Nominees for this award must have a minimum 3.50 GPA and meet high athletic standards.
Lewis made the Heart All-Conference Second Team after starting all 29 games this season and averaging 13.7 points and 5.2 rebounds per game (RPG).
He maintains a 4.0 semester GPA and a 3.93 Cumulative GPA as a business administration major.
Jansen also made the Heart All-Conference Second Team after starting all 27 games and leading the team in both scoring and rebounding with 13.8 points per game (PPG) and 7.2 rebounds per game (RPG).
Jansen is a mathematics and secondary education major and holds both a 4.0 semester and 4.0 cumulative GPA.
First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-American honorees will be announced on April 14, 2026.
