The Lady Spartans improved to 23-15 overall, 5-5 in the American Midwest Conference with six wins last week.The Lady Spartans opened the week on Monday with an AMC double header sweep of Stephens College. On Tuesday, they split an AMC double header with William Woods University. MBU lost game one 1-2 and won game two 3-2. The win over the Lady Owls was the first for MBU since 2004. 

On Thursday, the Lady Spartans got a non-conference double header sweep of Mid-Continent University in Mayfield, Kentucky. MBU shutout MCU 14-0 in five innings in game one. Jenny Kemp pitched three innings for the win for MBU. The Lady Spartans took game two 6-4. The Lady Spartans closed out the week with a split with non-conference opponent Missouri Valley College on Saturday. MBU dropped game one 0-1, but bounced back for a 7-2 game two victory.

Missouri Baptist will host three double headers this week, starting with an AMC match-up against Park University on Monday at 2:00 p.m. They will then host AMC foe Columbia College on Thursday and non-conference opponent St. Mary-of-the-Woods College on Saturday.
