Luka Cajic, Miljan Kastratovic and Steven Rodriguez were selected as members of the 12 man All-America team, and Cameron Hibbler garnered an Honorable Mention. Kastratovic was also named Newcomer of the Year, while Tom Young closed out the awards for the Spartans, being named 2019 Coach of the Year. LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 15, 2019) - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) is proud to announce its 10th annual AVCA Men's NAIA All-America Teams.
This marks the third season where the All-American team has 12 student-athletes with an Honorable Mention All-America list.
Lourdes University leads all teams with four AVCA All-Americans named. Missouri Baptist is third with Benedictine (AZ) and Grand View each landing a pair.
Four players are taking home their second AVCA All-American honor: Missouri Baptist's Luka Cajic and Steven Rodriguez, and Grand View's John Chamone and Felix Chapman.
The selections were made by the AVCA NAIA Men's Volleyball All-America Committee: chairperson Donan Cruz (Grand View), Dan Mathews (Cardinal Stritch), Greg Reitz (Lourdes), Mike Talamantes (Park), Ray Lewis (Benedictine Mesa), Ray Vance (Bluefield).
