ST. LOUIS—Women's Soccer goalkeeper
Hanna Harrison has been named the AMC's Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts against No. 25 Columbia and Central Baptist last week, the conference announced on Monday.
Harrison stood tall in Tuesday's matchup with defending AMC Champion Columbia. The sophomore made a career-high 10 saves to keep the Spartans in the game in the second half of a 2-1 defeat. Friday's match against CBC didn't require the same workload but Harrison still did what was necessary to earn her first shutout of the season in a 1-0 victory.
The former Northwest HS standout has now made 18 saves in three starts this season and is second in the AMC with a GAA of 1.00.
Spartan Women's Soccer returns to action on Wednesday at Spartan Field against Harris-Stowe. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 pm on SpartanDigitalNetwork.com
