Baldwin City, Kan - (10) Missouri Baptist University Competitive Dance traveled to Baldwin City, Kan. Saturday night the Spartans took on the NAIA Qualifying Tournament at (3) Baker University. Spartan Line finished 4
th out of 9 in the regional competition.
It was an early morning for the Spartans. They found themselves 5
th in line to compete in the preliminary round of the NAIA Midwest qualifiers. MBU effortlessly pulls a clean and deduction free routine. The preliminary round resulted in a score of 74.57 points and put them 4
th behind Baker University, (2) Grand View University, and (21) Benedict College.
Spartan Line pushes to the final round and once more displays a clean routine. MBU took this opportunity to improve 1.50pts from their preliminary score. Spartan line finished the round with a total score of 76.07.
Competitive Dance left the regional qualifier at number 4 with an overall score of 75.70. The NAIA Competitive Cheer and Dance National competition is scheduled for Saturday March 11. The Spartans will travel to Daytona Beach to preform on the band shell at NCA Nationals April 5-9.
