ST. LOUIS – Missouri Baptist University is pleased to announce the hiring of Lauren Von Ohlen as its new Head Dance Coach.
Von Ohlen arrives at MBU with a plethora of experience in dance at the collegiate and professional levels as well as an instructor. Most recently, she has encompassed numerous roles in the world of dance, namely producing music, freelance choreography for high school and collegiate dance teams, and serving as the Director of Talent and Techniques with Pure Barre.
"We are excited to welcome Lauren Von Ohlen as the new head coach of Spartan Dance," said MBU Director of Athletics Jeff Fore. "Lauren is a championship caliber leader whose résumé speaks for itself. Her ability to elevate performance quality, develop athletes, and build a culture of excellence will immediately strengthen our program. We believe Lauren has the vision, expertise, and championship mindset to take Spartan Dance to new heights."
As a professional dancer, Von Ohlen spent time in New York City and Los Angeles appearing on television, commercials, and live shows. Some of her work includes The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Saturday Night Live, and Andy Grammar on the Today Show.
Prior to her professional career, Von Ohlen instructed high school dance teams across the country at the Universal Dance Association, earning Rookie of the Year and Vet of the Year awards

A graduate of Lindenwood University, Von Ohlen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and was a key factor in three national championships as a captain of the Lindenwood Lion Dance Team. Von Ohlen lives in Creve Coeur with her husband Brandon and two sons, Beckham and Luken.
