KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced their 2023 Men's Volleyball All-America Teams at the conclusion of the NAIA Men's Volleyball National Championship. Missouri Baptist University upperclassmen Miljan Kastratovic and Auston Bonte were recognized on both All-America lists.
 
The All-HEART First Team selections accounted for nearly 44 percent of MBU's points in 2023 combining for 631 kills, 91 service aces, and 69 blocks.
 
Miljan Kastratovic received All-America recognition for an unprecedented fifth straight season scoring Second Team honors from the NAIA and Honorable Mention from the AVCA. The Budva, Montenegro graduate student finished with 1,561 kills, just one shy of MBU's No. 2 spot all-time held by Jonathan Roldan (1,562). Kastratovic surpassed the 1,500-mark in the Spartans' five-set road win at Missouri Valley. In his last hurrah, the standout pin hitter averaged 3.78 kills per set and recorded 18 matches of 10+ kills.
 
Auston Bonte, who earned All-America Honorable Mention for the second year in a row, took a step forward in 2023 bettering his averages in hitting %, assists per set, service aces per set, digs per set, and blocks per set. The biggest improvement came at the service line where Bonte led the team in aces with 0.63 per set and ranked fourth nationally in the category.
