The Missouri Baptist University competitive dance program traveled to Nebraska for a pair of tournaments this weekend, including the Crown Classic hosted by York University, and the Concordia University Day of Duals.

Up first was the York University Crown Classic, a 13-team tournament in which nine were ranked inside of the NAIA's Top 25 programs. Spartan Line finished the competition with a score of 60.33, which landed them ninth overall.

As a part of the Concordia Day of Duals, MoBap competed in a triangular with Dordt University and York University followed by a dual with No. 3-ranked Midland later in the afternoon. In the triangular, MBU finished second with a score of 68.93, behind Dordt but ahead of York. Spartan Line improved its score once more with a 69.47 – the highest mark of the weekend for the Spartans – but fell to the Warriors, who scored an impressive 85.77.

Abby Jeschke commented on this weekend, saying that they "were able to really find their performance quality" and they "progressed as a team and accomplished goals that we had set at the beginning of the season." Those goals included consistent and strong facials, uniformity in turn landing, intention during transitions, and sharpness in arm movements.

MBU Competitive Dance will attend one more competition before the postseason begins, which will be the Cougar Classic in Columbia, Mo. on Feb 23.
