KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Brooklynn Fischer was announced to the NAIA All-America Third Team on Tuesday after a breakout sophomore campaign in 2024. She became the first Spartan to gain All-American recognition since Payton Anderson was named an Honorable Mention list following the 2015 season.
Fischer led the Spartans in almost every statistical category, both at bat and in the circle. She compiled a .430 batting average with 22 doubles, two triples, and eight home runs. She drove home 47 batters and scored 44 herself.
As a pitcher, the native of New Florence, Mo. compiled a 15-5 record for the Spartans with six shutouts and an ERA of 1.43. She tossed 122.2 innings while walking only 31 and striking out 137. Opponents hit just .189 against her during the 2024 season.
Brooklyn and her teammates finished the season with a 33-14 season and a first-ever berth into the NAIA Softball National Championship Tournament.
