ST. LOUIS – For the first time in his collegiate career, freshman
Shaun Roberts is named the American Midwest Conference's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week in recognition of his performance at the SEMO Redhawk Invitational on Saturday (Jan. 11).
The St. Louis native placed first out of eight in the 55m dash, finishing with a time of 6.45. With this time, Roberts broke the Missouri Baptist University Men's Track and Field record for the fastest 55m.
Roberts also competed in the 200 M dash, finishing in third place with a 23.86 time.
He is now eligible to be voted as the NAIA's indoor track athlete of the week. The results will be announced on Wednesday (Jan. 15).
