ST. LOUIS – No. 11 Missouri Baptist University bested Kansas Wesleyan University in three sets on Friday night. The Spartans won 25-16, 25-14, 25-23, behind 14 kills from
Michael Olson and 18 assists from
Josh Kaemmerer.

The Spartans opened with a 25-16 win in set one with 18 kills on 37 attacks with five errors.
Michael Olson led the way with eight kills in the frame while
Veljko Culibrk logged a pair of aces to end an early run that gave MBU the lead.
Set two was even more efficient as the team put up an astronomical .812 attack percentage with 14 kills and one error on 16 attacks. The team rattled off six in a row at 4-3 with
Luka Stepanovic at the service line to take an 11-3 lead. They ended the set at 25-14 with six consecutive points including kills from Olson,
Isaac Allgeyer, and Johnathan Krake.
Kansas Wesleyan led 21-18 in set three before a handful of subs came in and helped the team to seven consecutive points to push the Coyotes to the brink. Two errors pulled KWU to within one, but Olson's 14
th kill helped MBU avoid a fourth set at 25-23.
