ST. LOUIS — The seventh-ranked Missouri Baptist University women's lacrosse team sets up camp in Georgia this week to play three of the NAIA's fiercest competitors: (3) Keiser University, (6) Reinhardt University, and (8) Life University.
MBU is currently 6-0 on the season, having already played and defeated two teams in the NAIA's top ten coaches' poll. Their most recent competition took place at home against (RV) Ave Maria University, where they battled hard to win 15-12 over the scrappy Gyrenes.
(3) Keiser University
Keiser is also 6-0 on the season, with their most impressive win being a 20-17 upset against (4) Lawerence Tech University on Sunday (Feb. 23). At the time of the upset, KU was ranked seventh in the country, and LTU was ranked second. In their most recent game, they defeated (6) Reinhardt 17-9.
The Seahawks also played Ave Maria towards the beginning of the season, defeating the Gyrenes 14-7.
MBU and KU faced off last in 2023, when the Spartans were ranked eighth, and the Seahawks were ranked fourth in top ten poll. Keiser kept a significant lead on Missouri Baptist until the fourth quarter, when MBU outscored KU 6-2. Despite the Spartans' impressive performance and six-goal comeback, Keiser won 14-12.

(6) Reinhardt University
The reigning NAIA national champions are 3-3 on the season, having already played three top ten matchups. Their first game of 2025, the Eagles lost 19-9 against (1) SCAD University. They also played (8) Life, defeating out their in-state rivals 15-14. They are coming into their game against Missouri Baptist off a loss to (3) Keiser.
The Spartans are out for revenge, having faced the Eagles at the 2024 NAIA National Tournament, where Reinhardt ended MBU's season 17-10. Missouri Baptist was neck and neck with RU until the Eagles took off in the fourth quarter. Senior Mack Miller earned a spot on the NAIA all-tournament team for her performance during this game.

(8) Life University
Life is also 3-3 on the season. They almost upset (6) Reinhardt, but lost to (10) Marian University 16-14 when the Knights were receiving votes. MBU defeated the Knights earlier in the season 13-9. Life won their most recent competition against Madonna University 18-2.
Missouri Baptist and Life last played against each other in an electric matchup in 2023 when MBU was ranked sixth and LU was ranked fourth. The teams played each other evenly until the third quarter when the Running Eagles outscored the Spartans 7-2. MBU outscored Life 3-2 in the fourth quarter, but this wasn't enough as the buzzer sounded and the score read 15-12 in favor of the Runnings Eagles.
