WLAX Faces No. 2 Benedictine in HAAC Conference Tournament

Atchison, KAN. – Missouri Baptist University Women's Lacrosse takes on second-ranked Benedictine College in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship game today (April 19) at 4 PM on Benedictine's home field.

Both teams have dominated the conference throughout the season.

Benedictine is 17-0 overall and 7-0 in the conference, earning them the title of Regular Season Champions. This year, BC produced 11 HOA all-conference selects. They also swept the conference's Player of the Year, Offensive POTY, and Defensive POTY awards.

After receiving a bye, the Ravens most recently beat St. Ambrose University 30-1 in the conference semifinal game on Wednesday (April 16).

Missouri Baptist followed a similar path this season. The team challenged themselves, playing in multiple NAIA Coaches' Poll top ten matchups throughout.

MBU is 13-5 overall and 6-1 in the conference, only losing to strong top ten programs. They produced eight selects for the HOA all-conference teams, including Olivia Julian as Newcomer of the Year.

They also received a bye to the HOA semifinal game, defeating Ottawa University 21-13 in regular Spartan fashion.

Earlier in the season, BC beat MBU 18-9.

The highly-anticipated rematch between the Ravens and Spartans starts at 4 PM.
