LAMONI, Iowa– No. 5 Missouri Baptist University men's volleyball hit .397 on their way to a sweep of Graceland University and their ninth consecutive win.

The Spartans dominated 25-13, 25-20, 25-21, getting 40 assists from
David Rudic and 22 combined kills from
Marko Jovanovic and
Michael Olson. They hit .591 in the first set and finished the three-set victory with a .419 percentage in set three.

AJ Tufuga additionally chipped in seven kills and a .667 attack percentage and
Johnathan Kreke was 7-for-9 with one error.

MBU got out to a 15-10 lead in the opener and went on a 9-2 run to push ahead 24-12. Kreke ended the set on an assist from Rudic at 25-13.

The Spartans trailed 10-7 in the second set after a slow start before Graceland sandwiched four errors around kills from Tufuga and
Isaac Allgeyer. MBU ended the set 25-20 with a 4-1 run at 21-19.

The Yellowjackets  gave the fifth-ranked team in the NAIA a run in the third set once again, running the score to 20-19. They then made four consecutive errors before Tufuga put the final nail in the coffin off an assist from Rudic.

With the sweep, the Spartans ran their winning streak to nine in a row and sit atop the Heart of America Athletic Conference standings at 16-2 in conference play and 23-4 overall.
