The Missouri Baptist University men's volleyball team opened up the 2011 season with a 23-25, 19-25, and 18-25 loss to NCAA Quincy University at home on January 13.

Junior outside hitter Jonathan Roldan had 9 kills for the Spartans. Joseph Ascher had 8 kills to lead the Hawks.  
Quincy clearly outperformed the Spartans in all areas and had only 25 unforced errors to 37 unforced errors for MBU.  
"This gave the coaching staff a nice list of things to work on for the next few weeks," said MBU Head Coach John Yehling.  
MBU is off until the 28^th of January, when the team travels to Milwaukee, Wisc. to face Milwaukee School of Engineering and Cardinal Stritch University.
