ST. LOUIS [BOX SCORE] – The Missouri Baptist men's volleyball team notched its fifth sweep (25-13, 25-14, 25-20) of the season against Missouri Valley College (Mo.) on its home court Monday night.
The Spartans (8-0) controlled the pace of the game from beginning to end.
Set one Missouri Baptist held the Vikings to their lowest hitting percentage of -0.040.
Without so much as a stutter, MBU held MVC to a negative hitting percentage once again in set two. Missouri Baptist also recorded its highest hitting percentage of the match at 0.500.
MBU went on to record 13 total kills in set three to notch its highest total of kills in the match compared to the nine kills Missouri Valley recorded in the same set.
Grant Carder led the offensive effort with 10 kills. Race Munger followed closely behind with six kills of his own.
Munger and Sean Benedict recorded no errors and the highest hitting percentage on the team of 0.750.
The Spartans will take the court again on February 2, against their first conference opponent Hannibal-LaGrange.
