ST. LOUIS [BOX SCORE] – The Missouri Baptist men's volleyball team defeated Dordt College (Iowa) in three straight sets (25-14, 25-14, 25-19) on Thursday.
The Spartans (13-0, 2-0) were off to a strong start as they recorded their highest hitting percentage of 0.600 all while holding Dordt to a negative hitting percentage.
Missouri Baptist continued its attack on the Defenders and again held them to a negative hitting percentage.
Dordt attempted to force a fourth set as the team took its first lead of the match in set three. MBU, however, held strong as the team recorded 14 total kills in the set compared to the Defenders eight.
Chris Flood and Mico Janicijevic led the offense with 10 kills apiece.
The Spartans will remain in Iowa and face Morningside (Iowa) on February 19.
