ST. LOUIS [BOX SCORE] – The Missouri Baptist men's volleyball team claimed the regular season title on senior night with Wednesday night's 3-1 (25-21, 21-25, 27-25, 25-17) win over rival Park University (Mo.) in the Spartans final regular season game. 

The Pirates started things off with a three point run before MBU (26-1, 6-0) put itself on the scoreboard. Missouri Baptist quickly regained the lead and saw it to a 25-21 set one finish as the team recorded its second highest hitting percentage of the night at 0.379.

Park would not give in to the Spartan attack as the Pirates swiped the second set out from under MBU. Park University recorded its highest hitting percentage of the match at 0.333 and held Missouri Baptist to only eight kills in the set.

Set three was a battle for both teams with 20 total ties in the set. The teams traded score throughout the set until the Spartans were able to close the deal with a 27-25 set win to take a 2-1 set advantage over Park.

MBU saw the light at the end of the tunnel as the team recorded its highest hitting percentage of 0.432 and closed out the match in set four with a final eight point differential.

Mico Janicijevic led the Spartan offense with 19 kills on the night. Chris Flood followed Janinijevic with 14 kills of his own.

Libero Robert Hall had a big night and set a new career high of 19 digs in the match

Kyle Foley directed the offense with 46 total assists on the night for an average of 11.5 assists per set.

The Spartans honored their two seniors, Chris Flood and Race Munger, in tonight's final regular season match. Both seniors were recognized before the match for their commitment to the MBU volleyball program.

Missouri Baptist has gone undefeated in conference and claimed the regular season title with the win against Park University. As the winner of the regular season title, the Spartans will host the Midwest Conference tournament on April 8-9.

MBU will now look to post season with the conference tournament on April 8-9.
