ST. LOUIS [BOX SCORE] – The Missouri Baptist men's volleyball team swept (25-14, 25-15, 25-23) Ottawa (Kan.) on Friday.
The Spartans (22-0, 3-0) took the lead right away in set one and held that lead throughout the entirety of the set. The team recorded only two hitting errors in the set, which was the lowest amount of errors in the match.
MBU continued to gain momentum as the team held Ottawa to a negative hitting percentage and recorded 12 kills compared to the Braves five.
OU fought to stay alive in set three as the teams recorded a total of nine ties in the set, the highest total of ties in the match. The Spartans however would not be stopped as they went on to record their highest hitting percentage of the match at 0.480.
Mico Janicijevic posted a double-double on the night with 12 kills and 10 digs.
Kyle Foley fed the offense with 34 total assists on the night for an average of 11.33 assists per set.
Robert Hall kept the ball alive for the Spartans as he recorded 10 digs on the night.
MBU will be back at it again on Monday, March 7 as they take on Culver-Stockton (Mo.) in the SRC at 7 p.m.
