ST. LOUIS -- [BOX SCORE] Missouri Baptist won its third straight game in straight sets Tuesday night, taking out Culver-Stockton 3-0 from Lacey Gymnasium. MBU has now won 25 straight matches on its home floor. 

Senior Mico Janicijevic started off the night with the game's first point and didn't slow down. The Serbian native had a game-high 20 kills on just 29 swings (.586 attack percentage). Eight kills from Janicijevic in the first set alone helped the Spartans take control early with a 25-16 win. A kill by Drew Iliff ended set one, as the freshman had five for the game.

A rotation error on MBU helped the Wildcats begin set two ahead 3-0. The Spartans (3-1) would continue to chip away however, and an ace from Kyle Foley gave them a two-point advantage at 10-8. Foley ran the offense for MBU and finished with 36 assists. Outside of Janicijevic, his most frequent targets were Cameron Hibbler and Luka Cajic who both had eight kills. MBU eventually ran its lead to 17-10 and survived four unanswered points from CSC. After a timeout with the lead trimmed to three, the Spartans controlled the rest of the way. Kills from Cajic and Janicijevic closed out set two.

Set three proved to be the toughest for MBU to close out. A gritty Culver-Stockton team wouldn't go away and the Spartans didn't take their first lead until two straight kills from Janicijevic put them ahead 21-19. From there, the Spartans rattled off four of the next six points and won on a service error. Ammuniki Wood led the Wildcats with eight kills.

The Spartans are back in action this Saturday at home against Briar Cliff. First serve is set for 1:00 pm.
