ST. LOUIS – [BOX SCORE] No. 2 Missouri Baptist concluded the regular season with a 3-0 sweep of No. 7 Clarke on Senior Day. The Spartans, who honored their seniors prior to the game, made quick work of the visiting Crusaders to up their winning streak to 18.

Senior Mico Janicijevic led MBU on the day with 11 kills. The Spartans (23-2, 11-1) cruised in straight sets, 25-20, 25-16, 25-20. Clarke didn't take a lead until set three.

Back-to-back kills from Cam Hibbler and Don Fleming upped the Spartan lead to 15-10 in the first set. Set one saw MBU hit a match-best .440. Another kill from Hibbler, followed by a service ace from Foley extend the Spartan lead to seven, its largest of the set, at 21-14. Luka Cajic delivered one of his nine kills on the day to put MBU ahead 1-0.

Three consecutive aces from Foley put the Spartans ahead 7-1 in set two and they never looked back. MBU led by as many as nine and eventually won by that margin, 25-16. Clarke hit a team-worst -0.062 in the set. Senior Daniel Prada produced points 17 and 19 in the set. His second kill put the home team ahead 19-10. A block from Foley ended the second set.

Five straight points, capped by a Fleming kill, made a one-point lead into a 13-7 advantage. The Crusaders didn't go down quietly, pulling within 22-20, but the final three points went MBU's way. Prada posted a kill and the game ended with two more aces from Foley. The junior finished with 34 assists and nine total aces, upping his NAIA lead.

Prada finished with six kills and Fleming and Hibbler each had four. Janicijevic and Robert Hall finished with a team-high eight digs. Isaiah Acfalle led Clark with 13 total kills.

The Spartans will next play on Thursday at 7pm in the Conference Tournament. MBU, the No.1 seed, will host the winner of the 4/5 matchup.
