KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Veljko Culibrk was named the NAIA Defender of the Week on Tuesday after an impressive week at the net in three games last week.
 
The Spartan middle blocker blocked 26 attacks for a 2.00 average per set. He recorded 11 total blocks in two of three matches last week against (RV) Cumberland (Tenn.) and No. 7 Mount Mercy (Iowa). He additionally posted 10 service aces and 21 kills to his stat line for the week and led Missouri Baptist to a 2-1 record.

This is Culibrk's first career NAIA National Defender of the Week award after earning the second Heart of America Athletic Conference Defender of the Week award of the season on Monday.
 
The Spartans will be back on the court this week with a handful of road contests and one home game against (RV) Indiana Tech on Wednesday, March 12, at 6:00 p.m.
