The Heart of America Athletic Conference selected Michael Olson and David Rudic to weekly awards on Monday after leading the Spartans to a 3-0 record last week. Olson won his second Attacker of the Week award of the season while Rudic was chosen to his eighth career Setter of the Week award.
 
The fifth-ranked Spartans traveled to downtown St. Louis on Tuesday and swept the University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy before taking down (RV) William Penn University in four sets on Friday night and No. 8 Grand View University in three sets on Saturday afternoon.
 
Olson was instrumental in all three wins, averaging 4.40 kills per set with a .432 attack percentage. The senior from Wildwood, Mo., had 10 kills against UHSP, 18 against William Penn, and 16 against Grand View. He additionally hit .593 on 27 attacks against the Statesmen and .500 on 26 attacks against the Vikings.
 
His setter was Serbia native David Rudic, who averaged 14.10 assists per set across 10 sets. He aided the sweep of UHSP with 41 assists before adding 58 on Friday and 42 on Saturday. In total, he notched 141 assists.
 
Olson, Rudic, and the Spartans continue the season on Saturday, March 29, in a home match up against No. 9 Park University. The opening serve is set for 1 p.m.
