Rudic Claims Second NAIA Setter of the Week Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – David Rudic picked up his second NAIA National Setter of the Week award of the season on Tuesday after leading fifth-ranked Missouri Baptist University to three wins last week.

The senior setter had 141 total assists and averaged 14.10 per set over 10 sets. He currently ranks second in the nation with 10.99 assists per set in 2025, only behind Matheus Collares from St. Thomas University (Fla.), at 11.87 APS.

 Rudic additionally added five kills, three aces, 24 digs, and two blocks.

His best performance came against (RV) William Penn University on Friday night where he posted 58 assists in a four-set victory. In the sweep over the University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy on Tuesday, he tallied 41 assists and ended his week on Saturday with 42 against No. 8 Grand View University.

This is the second time this season and in his career that Rudic has been selected for the NAIA Setter of the Week. The last time was on Feb. 25, 2025, after he averaged 12.71 assists per set on an Iowa road trip.
