KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Missouri Baptist University men's volleyball will open NAIA National Championship Pool Play on Tuesday, April 29, and is joined by St. Thomas University (Fla.) and UC Merced (Calif.) in Pool D.

The Spartans head into the NAIA National Championship at 26-5 overall, including a 17-2 record, which gave them a share of the Heart of America Athletic Conference Regular Season title. They won 12 in a row heading into the HAAC Championship match before dropping the finals 3-1 to Grand View University.

MBU is tied for second in the nation in kills per set at 13.40 and fourth in hitting percentage at .315. They had five earn HAAC All-Conference honors and four conference individual award winners. Head Coach
Tom Young won Coach of the Year, while
Michael Olson was the Co-Player of the Year,
Marko Jovanovic was the Attacker of the Year, and
David Rudic was the Setter of the Year.
