Hall of Fame
Andrea Seabaugh, a guard for the Spartans from 2008-2012, cemented her place in the record books, representing one of just five MBU players since the new millennium to reach the 1,000-point plateau. She ranks as the all-time leader in points (1,295), assists (339), and steals (174), while also ranking second in 3-point field goals made (209). The four-year starter played in 117 games and averaged 11.1 points per game over her career. As a junior, Seabaugh ranked third nationally in 3-point field goal percentage with an incredible 45.6 percent clip on 114 attempts. She received several honors at the conference level including AMC All-Conference First Team in 2012, honorable mention in 2011 and AMC Player of the Week (Dec. 2011). Again, as a senior, Andrea found herself ranked among the nation's elite in 3-point field goals made (6th), 3-point field goals made per game (9th) and 3-point field goal percentage (23rd).
Seabaugh exemplified a true testimony of an MBU student-athlete spiritually, academically and athletically. She maintained over a 3.90 GPA, was a two-time Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete and a multi-year Academic All-Conference recipient. Selected by MBU coaches, Andrea was honored at the annual Hall of Fame Banquet as MBU's female Champions of Character recipient for 2010 and was the Spartans' nominee for the NAIA Dr. LeRoy Walker Champions of Character Award. It came as no surprise as she earned a reputation as a hard-working individual who invested time on MBU's campus as well as outside of MBU in the community. Andrea held weekly Bible studies with members of the women's basketball team, went on multiple summer mission trips, served as a Welcome Weekend team mentor, was a Young Life Leader, and volunteered for several organizations including Cedars Jewish Center for the Aged, Oasis, Sunshine Ministries, St Louis Children's Hospital, Live Life Walk and Urban St. Louis K-Life Organization.
In 2012, Seabaugh graduated Summa Cum Laude and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Religious Education. Andrea continues to do God's work and is involved with Campus Crusades for Christ (CRU).
