LeTorre Swinney attended MBU from 1984-1989 as a member of the track and field team. Throughout his days of competition, Swinney was a three-time All-American for the Spartans and served as an undergraduate assistant coach. Swinney also received national attention, receiving an invitation to compete with the United States Amateur Track and Field teams. He was also responsible for setting every school sprinting record, at the time, as an individual runner. Swinney has served as the head women's track and field coach, as well as an assistant football coach, at Bishop Dubourg High School in South St. Louis city.
