Hall of Fame
Kevin Zeuschel becomes the 16th men’s basketball player to enter the Spartan Athletics Hall of Fame. A four-year letterwinner and two-time All-AMC First Team selection, Zeuschel’s best season coincided with one of the program’s best seasons ever in 1993-94. On the way to MBU Men’s Basketball’s first appearance in the NAIA National Tournament, the guard was named an NAIA All-American and AMC Player of the Year while leading the team in scoring with 18.4 points per game.
He is one of just 19 Spartans to reach 1,000 career points and ranks second all-time in MBU history in scoring with 1,823 points, sixth all-time in rebounds (618), and seventh all-time in assists (280). He also holds the single-season record for 3-point field goal percentage with a 52.8% clip in 1989-90.
Kevin graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. In the community, Zeuschel has served as a head freshman basketball coach and an assistant varsity coach at Hancock High School.
