Nigel Kinworthy brought distinction to the Missouri Baptist Men's Wrestling team after a successful career on the national stage. He was a four-time NAIA National Championship Qualifier and a two-time NAIA All-American. In his time at Missouri Baptist, he recorded 102 career victories with 41 pins in that time.

After graduation, Kinworthy stayed at Missouri Baptist to pursue his graduate degree and became a member of the coaching staff as well. He helped the team to major upsets of the No. 2-ranked McKendree University and No. 5-ranked Missouri Valley on one of the most successful Spartan wrestling squads of all-time.
