Hall of Fame
Jon Kars was a member of the Missouri Baptist University baseball team from Fall 2000 through Spring 2005 and was one of the most dominating pitchers in Spartan history. Kars was a three-time All-Conference pitcher and was named the 2003 American Midwest Conference (AMC) Pitcher of the Year.
In 2002 and 2003, Kars was named an NAIA All-American and was fourth in the nation in total wins in 2004. He left as the record holder for all-time wins with 33 over the course of his career.
After his time with the Spartans, Kars played professionally with both the Pensacola Pelicans and the River City Rascals. Currently, KArs works at Johnny Mac's Sporting Goods as a senior sales representative.
