Hughes, a graduate of St. John Vianney High School and was a two-time, First Team All-Conference selection and was named the Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player in 2011. Hughes was also named a First-Team All-Conference selection in 2011 as he helped to lead the team to a Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association National Championship berth.
