William "Yamil" Maisonet was a standout first baseman for the Spartans' baseball program from 1999-2002. Statistically speaking, the four-year letterwinner may be the most decorated MBU baseball player. Maisonet finished his career as the all-time leader in at-bats (749), games played (223), hits (249), putouts (1,373), RBIs (213) and total bases (407). He also ranks among the program's top-five in doubles (48), fielding percentage (.987), home runs (34), runs scored (163) and stolen bases (72). The corner infielder earned AMC Player of the Week twice in his career and was named to the AMC All-Conference team in 1999 and 2002.

Maisonet graduated as a double major in Accounting and Business Administration. Yamil resides in Puerto Rico with his wife and two children. He currently practices law and is a partner at his own lawn firm.
