Ben McNair entered the Spartan Hall of Fame for Meritorious Service to the Department of Athletics due to his contribution as the Head Athletic Trainer at MBU.

McNair began at Missouri Baptist as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in 2001, but was hired to lead the department just a year later. Over the next five years, he changed the culture at the University as he revolutionized both the role of athletic training within athletics, and increased the size of the department to a full-time staff of four with several Graduate Assistants to boot.

McNair spent countless hours improving, and literally writing the book, on how athletic training would be run at Missouri Baptist for years to come. He worked with every sport the University had to offer and also served on the first of two feasibility studies designed to determine if football would be brought to the University.

In 2007, McNair left MBU for Creighton University. Just like his time spent at Missouri Baptist, it was not long till he was promoted. In the Spring of 2008, he assumed the role as Head Athletic Trainer where he manages a staff of seven covering 14 sports.

McNair is also a coordinator for the NCAA Division I College World Series and has been a Medical Coordinator for the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament in 2008 and 2012. He will reprise that role again in 2015 for the second and third round of play.
